WHAT IS CHIROPRACTIC?
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Chiropractic is based on two simple truths:
The body is self-healing and self-regulating.
The body’s ability to self heal and self regulate is controlled and conducted via the nerve system.
Chiropractic is a form of healthcare which focuses on ensuring optimal nerve supply and communication between your brain and your body.
When one of your vertebra (bones in your spine) moves out of its optimal position, it is no longer able to move smoothly and naturally. This altered motion causes pressure and dysfunction to the nerves exiting the spine between each bone which, in turn, disrupts these vital messages between your brain and body. We call this a subluxation.
This miscommunication between your brain and body causes miscoordination of your body’s processes, resulting in an array of possible symptoms and health challenges.
Chiropractic focuses on specifically removing the nerve interference to allow your body to function to its optimal potential.
Chiropractic is so much more than the idea of only taking care of back pain, slipped discs and pinched nerves.
WHY MIGHT I SEE A CHIROPRACTOR?
The accumulation of traumas and stresses (both big and small) throughout daily life can impede the nerve flow between brain and body, resulting in a lack of clear communication. When this communication is not 100%, you are not functioning 100%. This can result in a variety of pains and symptoms. Chiropractic helps to ensure that we have the best possible communication between brain and body by facilitating the optimum nerve flow through the spine.
